Abstract: 

Purpose: This study aims to clarify the status of Scientometric indicators in science Scientometric organizations. Methodology: This article is a descriptive and library research. Searching in scientific databases and literature review, we identified Scientometric organizations as well as Scientometric indicators, then extracted the data using a checklist. After classifying the databases, a log was completed for each of them and they finally were analyzed using Microsoft Excel. Findings: Scientometric indicators differ in each group of Scientometric databases. Impact Factor was used in 22 databases (52. 38) and it was identified as the most applied Scientometric indicator. The Hirsch index appeared in at least 15 databases (35. 71) and was ranked second. Among the studied databases, “ university ranking databases” were ranked as top using Scientometric indicators (85 indicators) and “ human and financial databases” obtained the second rank using 56 indicators. In other databases, “ JCR” and “ professional or subject index” using seven indicators, jointly located at the sixth lowest rate in the indicators, respectively. Conclusion: The results of the study showed that the Scientometrics databases are different in using Scientometric indicators, and similar indicators can be introduced for each group of measurement bases.

Abstract: 

Knowing the components of economic education provides the dynamic background of education in this field. The aim of the current research is to investigate the indicators and components of the economic education curriculum. The approach of the current research is qualitative and its method is research synthesis. The research community is all the articles (211 articles) that have been presented from 1390 to 1401 AD and from 2010 to 2022 AD regarding economic education in curricula. The sample of the research is 32 articles, which were selected based on thematic monitoring, theoretical data saturation, and purposefully. The research data were collected from the qualitative analysis of the studied articles. By analyzing the data, the dimensions of vitality in the curriculum of the elementary school in 4 factors and 55 categories including the dimension of individual factors (including indicators and components related to personality characteristics); The dimension of culture and economic ethics (economic fields in the society); The dimension of economic concepts and knowledge (indices in economic education) and the dimension of collective and communication concepts (communication and interaction indicators in education) were classified. Economic education is dependent on internal and external components in educational systems, which requires macro-planning in this field.

Abstract: 

Background and aim: Today, Scientometrics is the main method of assessing and comparing the scientific publications of countries, universities, scientific institutions, specific subjects and authors. The aim of this study was to evaluate the Iranian scientific outputs on thalassemia based on Scientometric indicators. Material and methods: In this Scientometric study, the social network analysis was used to investigate the co-authorship, word co-occurrence and collaborative coefficient. The study population included 476 articles on thalassemia, indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) from 2006 to 2016. Excel، Raver-matrix، SPSS19، UCINET 6/28، Netdraw 2/141 and VOSviewer were utilized for data analysis based on Scientometric indicators. Findings: The growth rate (27. 94%) suggested that scientific outputs on thalassemia had an increasing trend in the WoS. Mean collaborative coefficient was 0. 78, and the findings showed that there was a significant relationship between the number of authors and citations to each paper (p=0. 05). The Pearson correlation coefficient was 0. 650, indicating a direct and positive relationship among the studied variables. However, the co-authorship network of authors and institutes with density of 0. 006 and 0. 015 indicated low coherence of researchers' network in the field of thalassemia. Conclusion: In the field of thalassemia, both scientific outputs and scientific cooperation level have increasing trend, but compared to other fields, the collaborative network has no good coherence, and it is a great way to achieve the desired status.

Abstract: 

A B S T R A C T Green city is one of the approaches to sustainable development. “green city” is an environmentally friendly city compatible with the concept of sustainable development and can be used for the welfare and security of its inhabitants. Based on the concept of a “green city,” urban managers try to have the least destructive effect on the ecosystems upon which cities rely. Green city is one of the sustainable development approaches that reduce the environmental footprint of cities. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the situation of Mashhad metropolis in terms of the objective characteristics of the green city. In this study, 14 indicators of electricity consumption per capita, green space per capita, population density, water availability, sewage availability, superior public transportation network, urban mass transportation, traffic reduction, annual production waste per capita, carbon monoxide, concentration nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide concentration, particulate matter concentration, and air quality were exerted. To determine the importance of research indicators, the Shannon entropy method, and the status of Mashhad city areas in terms of green city indicators, the VIKOR multi-criteria decision-making method has been applied. The results showed that most areas of Mashhad are average and below average in terms of green city characteristics, and only District 9 is in very good condition (0.636). Also, based on the results of this part of the research, District 5, with the value of VIKOR index of 0.969, is in the last rank in terms of objective characteristics of the green city Extended Abstract Introduction Green city is one of the approaches to sustainable development. Green cities constantly try to manage their environmental effects by reducing waste, increasing recycling, reducing air pollution, increasing population density, developing open urban spaces, and encouraging the development of sustainable local businesses. Green cities were first used to evaluate 30 European cities by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) in 2009 with the financial support of Siemens and the aim of reducing the environmental effects of human activities in cities. In that study, eight indices of carbon dioxide, energy, construction, transportation, water, recycling and land use, air quality, and environmental governance were used. Later, the Economist Intelligence Unit, with the financial support of Siemens, evaluated the status of the green city index in 17 Latin American cities, 15 African cities, 22 major Asian cities, and 27 cities in United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. In recent years, even some Western Islamic scholars have, in various publications, shown that Islam is an ecological religion. In Iran, the issue of protecting the environment has not received much attention regardless of its rich cultural and religious background and its confirmation in Article 50 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Mashhad is the second metropolis of Iran, located in North-East of Iran, and is one of the counties of Khorasan Razavi Province. According to the 2016 Iranian Population and Housing Census, its population was 3057679 people (The Vice-Presidency of Planning and Development of Mashhad Municipality). In Mashhad, due to several reasons including the presence of Imam Reza Shrine (PBUH) and arrival of millions of pilgrims per year, population growth, increased garbage production (production of 896534 tons of garbage in 2016 (The Vice-Presidency of Planning and Development of Mashhad Municipality), air pollution (increased number of unhealthy days from 46 days per year in 2015 to 88 days in 2016 for sensitive groups and 4 days of unhealthy air for all groups in 2016 (Center for Monitoring Environmental Pollutants of Mashhad Municipality) the 2025 vision of the city has paid attention to the environment in the form of five general objectives; however, just like the national level, no specific pattern for environmentally-compatible urban development, such as green city, is determined. Analysis of the green city index in Mashhad metropolis can considerably contribute to urban managers and planners in addition to providing a pattern for evaluating the present situation in other cities of Iran and improving the quality of life regardless of the current status of the urban environment in Iranian cities; we can preserve these environments as parts of the natural environment for future generations.   Methodology In terms of its goal, the present study is an applied one; in the study, drawing upon other studies and library sources and considering the conditions of Iran and the metropolis of Mashhad in terms of green city, 14 quantitative indices were exerted. To this end, the required data for the quantitative indices was gathered by library research from the relevant institutions. Next, the weights of quantitative indices were determined using Shannon's entropy. Then, using the VIKOR method of multi-criteria decision-making, the status of various districts of the metropolis of Mashhad in terms of quantitative indices of green city was determined. Finally, the map of the spatial distribution of quantitative indices was drawn using the ARC GIS software package.   Results and discussion In this study, to analyze the status of the metropolis of Mashhad in terms of green city features, 14 quantitative indices were used. Considering the value of the VIKOR index ranges from 0 to 1, various districts of Mashhad can be classified into five categories; very satisfactory, satisfactory, average, unsatisfactory, and very unsatisfactory in terms of quantitative indices of green city. The results of the current situation of Mashhad showed that in terms of objective indicators of the green city, District 9 of Mashhad metropolis with a value of VIKOR index of 0.056 is in first place, and the seventh region with a value of VIKOR index of 0.433 is in second place. Also, based on the results of this part of the research, District 5, with the value of VIKOR index of 0.969, is in the last rank in terms of objective characteristics of the green city.   Conclusion Similarly, the results of studies by Afshar (2011) and Shabani et al. (2017) on Tehran metropolis are indicative of the unsatisfactory situation of Tehran (the biggest metropolis of Iran) in terms of green city features. Comparing the results of the studies by Afshar (2011) and Shabani et al. (2017) with the present study on Mashhad (the second biggest metropolis of Iran) reveals the necessity for a comprehensive plan toward achieving green cities. It should be mentioned that, due to the specific conditions of Mashhad metropolis and availability or unavailability of the required data, the indices used in the present study are somewhat different from the ones used by Afshar (2011) and Shabani et al. Abstract: 

Introduction: Systematic reviews and meta-analyses are the most important sources for generating evidence across all fields of medical sciences, including psychiatry. This study aims to examine the authorship characteristics and Scientometric indicators of the publication sources of systematic reviews and meta-analyses in the field of psychiatry in Iran. Methods: This research was conducted using qualitative content analysis and Scientometric methods. The study population consists of 209 systematic review and meta-analysis articles in the field of psychiatry in Iran, published in Scopus in 2021. Authorship characteristics, publication sources, and Scientometric indicators (SJR, Citescore, SNIP) of these publication sources were examined. Results: The analysis of 209 articles showed that 25.25% of the articles had between one to three authors. Iran ranked first in terms of the country affiliation of corresponding and first authors. The top affiliations of corresponding authors were equally shared by Iran University of Medical Sciences and Tehran University of Medical Sciences. The top affiliation of first authors was Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. The journal Frontiers in Psychiatry ranked first among the most productive publication sources. The top country affiliation of publication sources was the United Kingdom. The Lancet Gastroenterology and Hepatology (UK) had the highest Scientometric indicators among the publication sources examined. Conclusion: More than half of the articles had a desirable number of authors in the research team. The Scientometric indicators of the publication sources did not show a favorable status, indicating a need for greater attention from relevant authorities.

Abstract: 

Evaluation of the research status of the academic institution provides it with the possibility of accurate research policymaking. Scientometric indicators are important tools for evaluating scientific activities of individuals, groups, and institutions. The current research aims to analysis the research performance of medical universities in Northern Iran based on quantitative and qualitative Scientometric indicators. In this cross-sectional descriptive study, the Scopus-indexed scientific documents provided by medical universities in the Northern Iran have been studied in terms of number of publications, number of citations, average number of Citations per Publication (C/P), Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI), scientific collaborations, the number of in top 10% citation percentile, and the number of publications in top 10% journal percentile according to CiteScore, Source Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP), and SCImagoJournal Rank (SJR) indicators during a five years period. According to the findings, Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences has gained the highest position in terms of the number of publications and citations, number of publications with international and national collaborations, and academic-industrial collaborations., while Golestan University of Medical Sciences has gained a higher position in terms of scientific outputs in top 10% citation percentile and journal percentile, CiteScore, SNIP, SJR and C/P. In terms of the FWCI indicator, Golestan University of Medical Sciences has achieved the highest value. Considering academic status and research capabilities of medical universities in the Northern Iran, increasing academic-industrial collaboration, expanding academic collaboration with superior universities and institutions around the world can be effective in increasing the quality of research and upgrading academic ranks of universities at national, regional and international levels.

Abstract: 

Introduction & Objective: Identifying effective social science networks in different scientific fields helps researchers to identify influential individuals and universities in each field and realize the importance of knowledge sharing through these new information tools. Accordingly, the present study was conducted with the aim of identifying the relationship between metamorphic scores of social networks and Scientometric indicators obtained from the activities of Iranian nursing researchers in citation databases. Materials & Methods: The present study is an applied and descriptive research that has been done by the Scientometric method with Altmetrics approach. The statistical sample for the study includes Iranian researchers in the field of nursing who had an indexed document in the Scopus citation database, in the period 2000-2019 and on the date of the research (20/03/2020), and was also a member of the Mendeley resource management database. There were 158 high-profile authors introduced by Scopus. Results: Findings showed that from 2000 to 2019, 5821 records related to the field of nursing, indexed by Iranian researchers written in the Scopus database, 5009 records (86%) were articles. Linguistically, 5627 records (96. 6%) were in English and only 198 cases (3. 4%) were written in Persian. Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Health Services is the top university in the field of activity or sponsor of nursing researchers. A significant coefficient of 0. 40 was obtained between the H-index index in Scopus database and the follower’, s index in Mendeleev, which shows that there is no significant relationship in this field. However, there is a significant relationship between the other indicators studied in these two databases. There is also a significant relationship between co-authorship index, H-index, citation received, readers, publications and viewers in Mendelian scientific social network with indexes of citation number and H-index in Web of Science citation database. But there is no significant relationship between the followers index and the mentioned indices due to the occurrence of a significance coefficient of 0. 202. Examining the relationship between the amounts of citations received in Mendeley, Scopus, and Web-Science databases shows that there is a significant relationship between the amount of citations received in these databases. Conclusions: Respectively, the strongest correlation, in this case, is between the citation index received in the Mendeley and Web of Science database, Mendeley and Scopus, and finally Scopus and Web of science. There is also a significant relationship between the etch index in the Mendeley, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. The correlation between the Mendeley h-index and Web of Science is stronger than the correlation between the Mendeley h-index and Scopus.

Abstract: 

2Background and Aim: Systematic reviews and meta-analyses are the most reliable sources of evidence in evidence-based practice. Analyzing the Scientometric and authorship features of these articles at the national level can provide useful information for various decision-makers. This study aimed to investigate the Scientometric and authorship characteristics of Iran’s systematic review and meta-analysis articles indexed in Scopus. Materials and Methods: The current research was conducted using a Scientometric approach. The research population includes 9579 systematic review and meta-analysis articles published between 2011 and 2021, and Iran is the affiliated country of at least one of the authors. The quantitative and qualitative growth process of articles as well as the authorship characteristics are examined in this research, among other things. Results: Review of 9579 articles indicate an increasing trend in the publication, with the highest number of articles (2565) being published in 2021. The thematic analysis shows that the majority of articles are related to the field of Medicine, with 7112 articles, followed by Biochemistry, Genetics, and Molecular Biology with 1433 articles. The highest H-index, 68, refers to the year 2018 and the highest percentage of articles included in the Hirsch Index horizon refers to the year 2011. The highest average number of citations per article is 146. 44, observed in 2012, while the lowest is 4. 62, reported in 2021. The highest average number of citations in relation to the age of the articles was 9735/34 in 2020, whereas the minimum was 279 in 2011. Calculating the percentage of articles above the H-index horizontal line based on total articles of each year, along with the average citation per article, shows a decreasing trend with slight fluctuations. On the other hand, there is a growing trend when considering the number of citations in relation to the age of the articles. The lowest average author count (5. 48) is linked to 2011, whereas the highest count (12) is related to 2012. The first and the corresponding author of more than 91% of the articles was from Iran. In conducting the examined articles, researchers from the United States collaborated the most (12. 05%) with researchers from Iran. University of Tehran, as the authors' affiliated organization, has contributed the most to the examined articles (27. 81%). The Iranian Journal of Public Health has published the most of the examined articles (36/1%). Conclusion: The articles under investigation show an increasing trend of growth, yet further research is needed to assess their qualitative trend. Given the rising significance of evidence-based practice, the stakeholders need to ensure the maintenance of the quantitative growth trend and the enhancement of the qualitative growth of these articles

Abstract: 

Background and Aim: One of the most important indicators in scientific output in the world is the number of articles indexed in international and reliable indices. Many scientific institutions perform statistical analysis on countries, institutions and individuals. An Institution of Scientific Information (ISI) indexes the scientific information of most of international scientific journals. Using information on Web of Science we can evaluate scientific output of countries, universities and individuals and compare them with one another. The aim of this study was to assess the status of scientific output of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences according to Scientometric indicators until the end of2011 and compare it with those of other universities within the same rank, in Iran.Materials and Methods: By use of basic search in Web of Science and choosing SCI-EXP ANDED index from 1993 to 2011 different affiliated addresses indexed in was for Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences combined by using OR operator, then data were collected and analyzed.Results: Total number of records indexed in was till the en d of 2011 was 157. Maximum and minimum number of records were 111 (71.5%) for original articles and 1 (0.5%) for letter respectively. Maximum number of scientific output belonged to public, environmental and occupational health with 35 (22.87%), tropical medicine with 24 (15.68%), general and internal medicine with 21 (13.75%), pharmacology with 12 (7.19%), and multidisciplinary chemistry with 10 (6.53%) records. Each of the other subjects had less than 10 records. Canada had maximum international collaboration with 7 records and Egypt, Philippines, Thailand, each with one record had minimum international collaboration. Maximum national collaboration was related to Tehran University of Medical Sciences with 29 records and Tarbeyat Modaress University with 13 records. 157 records of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences had been published in 89 journals, among them 23 journals, published maximum number of articles (54%). Only 5 journals were Iranian. Total number of citations was 300 and a median citation per article was 1191. Average article for every academic member was 1/01.Conclusion: Scientific output of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences has been on the rise. Increase in citations is indicative of improvement of the quality of the articles in this university.
